And so the Summer begins
In this month’s round-up: It's been a busy month with Red Bull Dance Your Style UK Final, New Starters and our Work Experience students get creative in the editing suite.
NEW CLIENT PROJECT - RED BULL, DANCE YOUR STYLE NATIONAL FINAL
We had the incredible honour of producing Red Bull's Dance Your Style UK National Final this past weekend at Freight Island in Manchester. It marks the first time the UK event has taken place outside of London, and we were absolutely thrilled to be a part of it!
The event saw 16 talented dancers from across the UK battle it out on a central stage, with the audience voting for their favourites. It was so much fun - the day was filled with exciting activities for the public, including dance lessons, TikTok workshops, and a slo-mo Glambot to capture moments.

Jess Jones has been Strategic Partnerships Manager for the last year at Toucan, bringing her background of creative agency account management along with partnership development with her. Now pregnant with a little one on the way, due August, she’s taken leave to take on that all important role of motherhood. We wish Jess the very best in her next phase of life and look forward to welcoming her back when she’s ready.
Alex Redfarn joins Toucan as MAT cover for Jess. He brings a wealth of knowledge for onboarding strategic partnerships between brand/business and agency and working closely with clients helping them to achieve their commercial objectives. Alex has hit the ground running and after two weeks he’s already supporting clients with partnership opportunities.
I MISSED ICE DAY 2024
I’ve had much trouble with the discs in my back during the past month (don't ask!), which meant for ICE Day 2024 I was laid up and couldn’t attend. After judging the awards this year for Team of the Year and Best Community Engagement, I was hugely disappointed not to make the event (it’s a fab day to celebrate the often unseen efforts of corporate event planners that go behind staging an event). However, my co-founder, Sally, was able to go in my place. Her account of the day can be found here.

AND FINALLY…
We’ve had a number of young people in for work experience over the last couple of months. Each has been a joy to have around, even for just a short space of time. One school asked their students to take a photo of their time on work experience and they would have a competition to see which was best. Not to be outdone, our graphic animation team, along with student Luke, got the whole team involved (even the dogs) and let their creative skills shine - and here’s the result (I’ll let you be the judge).
